The Rupture
-
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful -
إِذَا السَّماءُ انشَقَّت
The time will come when the sky is ruptured.3

It will submit to its Lord and expire.2

يٰأَيُّهَا الإِنسٰنُ إِنَّكَ كادِحٌ إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدحًا فَمُلٰقيهِ
O humans, you are irreversibly heading for a meeting with your Lord.1

فَأَمّا مَن أوتِىَ كِتٰبَهُ بِيَمينِهِ
As for the one who receives his record in his right hand,3

His reckoning will be easy.3

وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلىٰ أَهلِهِ مَسرورًا
He will return to his people joyfully.2

وَأَمّا مَن أوتِىَ كِتٰبَهُ وَراءَ ظَهرِهِ
As for the one who receives his record behind his back,2

He will be ridden with remorse.2

وَيَصلىٰ سَعيرًا
And will burn in Hell.1

إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَن لَن يَحورَ
He thought that he will never be called to account.1

Yes indeed, his Lord was Seer of him.1

I solemnly swear by the rosy dusk.6

And when the Quran is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate. -
بَلِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا يُكَذِّبونَ
This is because those who disbelieved are rejecting (the Quran).1

GOD is fully aware of their innermost thoughts.2

Promise them painful retribution. -
إِلَّا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُم أَجرٌ غَيرُ مَمنونٍ
As for those who believed and led a righteous life, they receive a recompense that is well-deserved.2
